In the second half of the year, 33 female high school students from Zárate and Campana participated in the “Girls in Engineering” program, an initiative by the National Technological University with Guidi´s support in order to foster young women's integration into the workforce.
As part of this initiative, the students toured the Zárate plant with Engineering Manager Ana Yager and engaged in discussions with several female colleagues. Additionally, the participants attended a presentation led by Daniela Fazzari, CSR and 5S Manager, where they gained insights into the implementation of the 5S methodology used within the company.
Silvana Comelli, Social Worker and Program Coordinator at UTN, stated: “The ‘Girls in Engineering’ program was created to introduce this discipline to young women in high school and technical education, emphasizing both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Visits to companies such as Guidi provide an invaluable opportunity for young women to observe a real operational environment and converse with women who are already established professionals in the industry.”
Through these initiatives, Guidi reaffirms its commitment to fostering an inclusive and professional work environment. Currently, the Zárate plant's workforce comprises 40% women.
