Women's Month at Guidi: Diversity and Inclusion through Management

In the framework of International Women's Day, various activities were held throughout March at the Zárate and Burzaco plants to reflect on the role of women in the industry and the changes that have taken place in recent years.

These meetings featured the participation of both company employees and representatives from other companies located near each of the plants.

In mid-March, Guidi hosted the event "Women in Industry – Stories that Pave the Way," organized by the Industrial Union of Almirante Brown. More than 70 employees from local companies, municipal officials, and representatives from the Provincial Ministry of Education shared their experiences regarding the inclusion of women in the industrial sector.

During the panel, Brenda Martin, HR Manager at Industrias Guidi, emphasized the recruitment process for female collaborators, which today allows the company to have a workforce that is 40% women in Zárate and 14% in Burzaco. Mariana Stramens, from the company Genrod, reflected on her personal and professional growth—from starting as an operator to her current role as Marketing Manager—focusing on the difficulties she encountered along the way. Finally, Carla Argento, Managing Partner at Velargen, spoke about her professional and personal journey to reach a decision-making position within the company.

In addition, female employees from both Guidi plants attended a workshop led by the consultancy Grow, where they reflected on the diverse tasks, caregiving responsibilities, and roles carried out by women working in the industry and, specifically, within the company.

Lastly, through an initiative by Toyota Material Handling Mercosur, Guidi was selected to give a voice in a video to the stories of women who today occupy roles that have been historically masculinized. Such is the case of Laura, María Luján, and Milagros, who personify this shift: today, they are responsible for operating forklifts and coordinating key material handling activities, proving that talent has no gender.
